Free figures. Proprietary software. User-controlled data.

VennScope is provided as a research, educational and exploratory set-analysis and visualization application. The software itself is proprietary; exported figures are intended to be freely usable with attribution.

Version notice

These terms describe VennScope v0.13.0-beta.1 and acknowledgement version 2026-08-17.1. They are not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific legal advice.

Application software

VennScope application code, interfaces, implementation, software assets and associated proprietary materials are © 2026 Ronald Saraswat / Saraswat Integrated Services Private Limited, as applicable. All rights are reserved except where expressly stated. Access to the public web application does not grant permission to copy, redistribute, modify, reverse-engineer for republication, repackage, sell or incorporate the software into another product, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

User data

VennScope does not claim ownership of identifiers, datasets or other scientific material supplied by a user. Dataset contents are processed locally in the browser in the standard workflow. Users remain responsible for ensuring that they have the rights and permissions required for the data they use.

Generated figures

To the extent copyright or related rights owned by the VennScope operator subsist in the visual elements of a figure generated by VennScope, those operator-owned elements may be used, shared and adapted under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), provided appropriate attribution is given. This does not change or grant rights in user-supplied data, third-party logos, annotations, copyrighted material or other content not owned by the VennScope operator.

Recommended attribution: Generated using VennScope v0.13.0-beta.1, https://vennscope.saraswatintegratedservices.com/ — CC BY 4.0. The attribution may be placed in the figure legend, methods, acknowledgements or another reasonable location; VennScope does not require a visible watermark on the figure.

Scientific responsibility

Results are generated computationally from the inputs and settings supplied by the user. Although VennScope is tested for computational correctness, users should independently verify their data, analysis choices, results and scientific interpretation before publication, clinical use, regulatory use, commercial decision-making or other consequential use.

VennScope does not provide medical, diagnostic or clinical advice and should not be used as the sole basis for clinical or regulatory decisions.

Post-export modification

After a file is downloaded, VennScope cannot control subsequent editing, relabelling, compositing, manipulation or reuse. Modified files must not be represented as unmodified VennScope exports. VennScope is not responsible for claims, representations, conclusions or modifications made by users or third parties after export, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Export acknowledgement

Before exporting a figure, VennScope requires the user to affirm that they have reviewed the analysis and understand their responsibility to verify results, and that post-export modifications cannot be authenticated as original output. This acknowledgement is an application-use record; it is not a qualified electronic signature and does not establish the user's legal identity.

Verification records

When a user chooses a verified export, VennScope registers a cryptographic file fingerprint and limited export metadata. Verification can establish whether an exact file matches a registered export fingerprint. It does not certify the scientific validity, truthfulness, authorship or interpretation of a figure.

Warranty and liability

The application is provided for scientific and educational assistance without warranty as to fitness for a particular scientific, clinical, regulatory or commercial purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
